A quick and fun mindfulness practice for kids is to LET GO. To be honest, we could all use a mindful tool to help us let go of our baggage.

So let’s give it a try:

  1. Find a quiet place to lie down. (You can also practice this exercise sitting down.)

  2. Starting with your feet, squeeze your toes and your feet…squeeze squeeze squeeze and let go.

  3. Moving up, squeeze your legs and your knees…squeeze squeeze squeeze and let go.

  4. Moving up, squeeze your pelvis, hips, and belly…squeeze squeeze squeeze and let go.

  5. Moving up, squeeze your fingers and your hands…squeeze squeeze squeeze and let go.

  6. Moving up, squeeze your arms and your shoulders…squeeze squeeze squeeze and let go.

  7. Moving up, squeeze your chest and your back…squeeze squeeze squeeze and let go.

  8. Moving up, squeeze your neck and your face…squeeze squeeze squeeze and let go.

  9. Squeeze your whole body…squeeze squeeze squeeze and let go.

  10. Relax, breathe, and notice how you feel.
